The transition into Spring from Winter always brings a sense of hope, and anticipation for the year ahead.
Colder temperatures and low humidity levels can lead to a never ending battle against dry Winter skin.
The good thing is simple that prevention and treatment is inexpensive, keeping your skin healthy is vital, a hot shower or bath at the end of the day and a nourishing bath bomb and salts are essential, using a scrub to exfoliate and then adding a body butter and body cream while in the bathroom helps lock in the moisture, although a small tip pat dry to help retain the moisture in the skin.
Balms are great too and we have a lovely selection of organic lip balms to help soothe cracked lips with hemp and Melissa oil to nourish and protect and which are uplifting and revitalising.
As the days get brighter and longer, birds sing, flowers appear and just as we embrace this shift we also take time to pause and reflect and make changes for the year ahead.
Spring brings, Easter and Mothers Day and a new season for us with floral tones, and bright zesty aromas, in our room sprays, diffusers, candle, and skincare products.
Its a good time to exfoliate and prepare your skin for the Summer months, a few times a week is important as part of this transitional period. The Winter months dries out your skin and the harsh conditions strips your skin of moisture, so using a good body scrub removes layers of dead skin cells, and the essential oils in our body scrubs adds moisture and nourishes the skin.
It is important to look after you new Spring/Summer body at this time, our skins starts to breathe and we take in more vitamin D, so we would always use a body cream and hand cream which will make your body look and feel healthy.
Hydrate from the inside a key step to healthy looking skin, drink plenty of water and eat foods high in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, they protect your skin cells from environmental damage and make your body produce new heathy skin cells.
During Spring and Summer the extra hours of Sunshine can be a major mood booster according to research, and spending more time outdoors is great for mental health and well-being, taking walks in nature, a stroll on the beach for example, slows the heart rate and makes you more relaxed, and Spring in particular has an amazing effect on the brain, especially as flowers bloom, bees, and butterflies appear and this all makes us happy and uplifts our mood.
Sometimes its nice to bring the outdoors inside if it raining or gloomy our NEW diffusers do just that, floral and uplifting aromas to enhance any room.
So we are all looking forward to Sunshine weather ahead, and lots of vitamin D for Healthy and Beautiful skin to add to our daily routine.
